In the Wings Coaching has two key ideas that stand behind it. One idea comes from the world of theatre, where we got our start. The “wings” are the areas just off stage, where performers wait before they step into the spotlight. As coaches, we want to be standing in the wings with you, encouraging you to go and shine in the ministry and the role that God has for you.

We want to help you think about three key areas of your life and ministry:

On stage: What are the public areas of ministry and leadership God has given you? How can we help you manage those more strategically?

Off stage: When the spotlights fade, who are you? We can be confidential, supportive guides to help you navigate the inner life of your leadership.

In the wings: What does God have in store for you? What is your next great act? We are passionate about helping people discern their purpose and find ways to live fully into it.

The theatrical metaphor of “wings” is part of our coaching ministry.

The other equally important part is a passage that comes from Isaiah 40:

“28 Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the whole earth.

He never becomes faint or weary;

there is no limit to his understanding.

29 He gives strength to the faint

and strengthens the powerless.

30 Youths may become faint and weary,

and young men stumble and fall,

31 but those who trust in the Lord

will renew their strength;

they will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not become weary,

they will walk and not faint. -- Isaiah 40:28-31 (CSB)

This passage affirms that God Himself is the one who gives us strength and purpose and energy and understanding. He is the source of all our wisdom, and He wants to use all those who trust in Him. Thanks for letting us journey with you.
